How it is calculated
The day, the month and the sum of the year's digits give three of the four corners; the fourth is their sum. Anything above 22 has its digits added together until it fits — 44 becomes 8, 52 becomes 7. Twenty-two stays twenty-two.
The centre is the sum of all four corners. The rhombus points are sums of neighbouring corners, and every line below is built from pairs of points already on the star. Nothing here is random: enter the same date tomorrow and you get the same matrix.
